|St. Paul's School offers high quality, Christian preschool and elementary programs in a family-friendly environment. Our school believes that every child is a unique gift from God. This is why we have made a commitment to partner with our families to help educate children in a warm and nurturing environment that will best prepare them socially, academically, emotionally and spiritually.|
St. Paul’s School is a growing, thriving, Christian school with a vision to provide a full early childhood education from age two through fifth grade. We are committed to producing both saints and scholars by providing a rich, challenging education in a loving, Christian environment. Relying on a rigorous, classical curriculum, our students are equipped for the greatest of academic challenges, and most perform well above grade level. By maintaining a low student-to-teacher ratio (most classes have about 10 students), we are able to provide each individual child the care and attention she or he deserves. And our emphasis on Christian character development further prepares our students to become Christ-like witnesses and shining lights (“Sparks”) to those around them.
Some of the things that set St. Paul’s School apart from others include the availability of before, after, and extended care at very reduced rates for those families whose schedules require some extra flexibility. Additionally, we have the use of a spacious gymnasium and stage for special events, productions, and indoor sports. And we offer lunch services three days a week to our kindergarten and elementary students. On the academic side, in addition to our core curriculum, St. Paul’s teaches Spanish to all grade levels beginning in Pre-K3 and German is available for students in Pre-K4 and older. Our kindergarten and elementary students all partake in Music, Art, P.E., and chapel as part of their regular program. And we offer an incredibly rich variety of extracurricular classes, including: Ballet, Tap, Martial Arts, Beginning and Intermediate Piano, Chorus, Soccer, Chess, Robotics/ Engineering, and Software Programming and Development. We also employ classroom assistants at each grade level to provide additional academic and classroom management support.
St. Paul’s School currently maintains two campuses, both located in the heart of historic Haymarket, VA. Our Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 students meet in the Parish Hall of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, and our kindergarten and elementary students attend classes at the former Old P.A.C.E. West building on Washington Street, our “Sparks” campus. We also house our Pre-K2 program at that location. The Sparks facility includes a huge gymnasium and stage, athletic fields, large playground, indoor basketball courts, and bright, spacious classrooms. We are expanding this campus and will be consolidating all of our school at this location in 2017. In anticipation of this move, we are officially changing our name to St. Michael’s Academy by fall of 2015.

Train up a child in the way he should go,
and when he is old he will not depart from it.
- Proverbs 22:6
St. Paul’s is changing its name! As of this fall, 2015, we will be St. Michael’s Academy. Saint Michael is described throughout the Bible as an archangel who is the great defender of the people of God. Sometimes described as the “Prince of Light,” St. Michael sets a wonderful example to our own little “Sparks” who also strive to carry and share the light of Christ.
All other aspects of our school will remain the same, including our wonderful staff!
